Therapy for people who don’t fit the mold.
Online somatic, trauma-informed therapy for queer, neurodivergent, highly sensitive, and multi-passionate adults across California.
You may be healing from burnout, high-control systems, identity rupture, institutional or religious harm, or navigating relationships that the world doesn’t always know how to hold.
Therapy can help you regulate your nervous system, trust your inner knowing, and build a life that actually fits who you are.
I am currently accepting new clients.
You might be here because…
You’re successful on the outside, but internally you feel exhausted, overextended, or disconnected from yourself.
You’ve survived religious trauma, cult dynamics, institutional harm, toxic workplaces, or systems that taught you not to trust your own reality.
You identify as a highly sensitive person (HSP), neurodivergent, and/or multi-passionate and are tired of translating yourself to be understood.
You’re a queer, trans, gender-expansive, and/or nonbinary person navigating identity, belonging, and the layered experience of becoming?
You’re navigating polyamory, kink, or non-monogamy and want care that doesn’t pathologize your relationships or desires.
You’re a creative person who wants a therapist that has real life experience working as multidisciplinary artist?
You do not need to simplify yourself to belong here. This practice is for people whose lives are layered, nonlinear, and often too complex for conventional therapy spaces.
How therapy can help
Together, we slow things down enough for your body to tell the truth your survival strategies have had to mute. We work with the patterns beneath burnout, people-pleasing, masking, self-doubt, perfectionism, and disconnection.
Through this work, you can:
Recover from burnout and high-functioning overdrive.
Navigate queerness, gender, identity, and belonging with more steadiness and self-trust.
Honor your neurodivergence and sensitivity instead of treating them like problems to fix.
Build relationships with clearer boundaries, better communication, and less shame.
Rebuild trust in yourself after religious, institutional, or relational harm.
Integrate creativity, spirituality, and intuition into your healing without leaving essential parts of yourself at the door.
What it costs you to keep waiting
You’ve survived systems and relationships that weren’t built for the way you feel, love, create, or believe.
To stay connected or safe, you’ve learned to override your body, edit your truth, and make yourself more “manageable” than you really are.
Over time, that shows up as burnout, chronic self‑doubt, nervous‑system overdrive, and relationships, work, or spiritual lives that don’t fully reflect who you are.
If nothing changes, you’ll keep translating yourself, bracing for impact, and wondering whether there’s actually a space where all of you can belong.
My specialties:
Choose the doorway that fits best:
Somatic therapy for high-achieving professionals and entrepreneurs — for burnout, overwork, transitions, and success that no longer feels sustainable.
Healing from institutional and religious trauma — for deconstruction, cult recovery, spiritual abuse, and rebuilding inner authority.
Therapy for highly sensitive, neurodivergent, and creative adults — for overwhelm, masking, unmasking, creative blocks, and honoring how you’re wired.
Affirming therapy for LGBTQIA+ and gender-diverse adults — for identity, belonging, gender affirming care, and living more fully as yourself.
Affirming therapy for kink, polyamory, and non-monogamy — for desire, communication, shame reduction, and non-pathologizing support.
I’m Edgar Fabián Frías, LMFT, a Latinx & Wixárika, queer, nonbinary therapist, artist, and multi-passionate based in Los Angeles.
I know what it is to move through institutions and systems that were never designed for us, and I know how exhausting it is to be told you are “too much” when you are actually carrying precision, sensitivity, and deep knowing.
My practice integrates somatic therapy, Hakomi, Parts Work, mindfulness, and creative and spiritual frameworks that honor your body, your complexity, and your lived experience.
You do not have to choose between being taken seriously and being fully yourself here.

What to Expect When Working Together
How We Begin
Book a free 15-minute consult. We’ll talk about what you’re navigating and whether this feels like the right fit. If so, I’ll send over my practice’s paperwork and schedule you for our first session.
Start weekly virtual sessions anywhere in California. Therapy is online, consistent, and designed to work with real life, creative schedules, and nontraditional rhythms.
New to therapy altogether? That's welcome too; you don't need to know how to "do" this, we'll figure out the rhythm together as we go.
Coming from another therapist? That's common and welcome; tell me what worked, what didn't, and we build from where you actually are, not from zero.
Already working with a psychiatrist, psychic, astrologer, energy worker, hypnotist, or other healer? I integrate around what you have, not instead of it.
This blending of therapy with other kinds of support is something I care deeply about, in fact, it's exactly what I spoke about with Vogue (click on Vogue photo to read the full article); you can see more of my press features by clicking the image down below.

Investment & Logistics
Rate: $250 per 55-minute session, held weekly (with limited bi-weekly openings).
Insurance: I don't bill insurance directly, but many out-of-network PPO plans reimburse a portion of session costs. I partner with Mentaya to make that reimbursement process simple.
Format: 100% telehealth via secure video or phone, available anywhere in California.
Cancellations: Once booked, sessions are held—no refunds or rescheduling for missed appointments, though you get one no-questions-asked "freebie" per year for the unexpected.
What changes over time
You stop wondering whether you’re “too much” and start recognizing your sensitivity, queerness, neurodivergence, and desires as sources of power.
Your body feels less braced and more grounded; you can rest, choose, and connect without as much self‑surveillance.
You make aligned decisions about work, relationships, community, and creative life—and have the internal support to follow through on them.
