Are you…

  • In a polyamorous, kink, and/or ethically non-monogamous relationships seeking a kink aware therapy space that doesn't require justification or explanation

  • A person exploring witchcraft, paganism, animism, or non-traditional spirituality, or in the midst of a spiritual awakening or existential shift?

  • Someone who has felt too complex, too much, or simply unseen in traditional therapy spaces?

It’s time to find your way back to yourself.

Here’s how therapy can help:

  • Untangling high-control dynamics: Processing religious, academic, or workplace trauma so you can stop questioning yourself, rebuild your boundaries, and finally trust your own voice.

  • Navigating family and identity ruptures: Finding solid ground amidst shifts in your gender, queerness, or spirituality, especially if you have always had to play the "outsider" or "black sheep" in your family of origin.

  • Moving past creative blocks and perfectionism: Navigating career pivots and the pressure to constantly produce. You will find ways to share your art, work, and legacy without having to justify your non-linear path on someone else's timeline.

  • Nurturing your relationships: Navigating polyamorous, kink, and ethically non-monogamous constellations with intention. You will learn to hold somatic boundaries, process jealousy, and balance emotional labor without losing yourself.

  • Honoring your unique wiring: Moving from high-functioning burnout to a grounded, regulated nervous system. We will navigate unmasking, sensory overwhelm, and late ADHD/autism discoveries so you can live in a way that actually works for your mind and body.

  • Integrating your spiritual and mystical experiences: Developing a framework that honors your intuition, ancestry, and inner knowing—without ever pathologizing the depth of your magic or what you have encountered.

What it costs you to keep waiting

If you keep trying to fit into therapy spaces that weren't built for you, the exhaustion doesn't stay in the therapy room. It follows you home.

When you have to translate your kinks, your gender, or your multi-hyphenate life just to be understood, the part of you that is fluent in your own truth goes quiet.

The vigilance from high-control environments never actually leaves. It just calcifies into a body that is still bracing, still waiting for the other shoe to drop, years after you walked out the door.

Your beautiful brain, the way it moves nonlinearly and holds multiple threads at once, gets pathologized instead of celebrated. You leave sessions feeling more disconnected from yourself, not less.

Your relationships strain under the weight of feeling like you are "too much." Instead of doing the real work, you spend your therapy hour managing someone else's discomfort with your queerness, your trans body, or your desires.

The parts of you that hold the most vital information, your somatic memory, your spiritual practice, your magic, remain unintegrated because the person sitting across from you cannot follow you there. The energy that should go into your creative work goes into self-surveillance instead.

None of this is inevitable. It is just what happens when the room you are in wasn't built to hold the fullness of who you are.

It is time to stop shrinking.

Hello, I’m Edgar Fabián Frías, LMFT.
I am a Wixárika, queer, nonbinary, and neurodivergent affirming therapist in California.

I know what it’s like to navigate systems that were never designed for us, and I know how exhausting it is to be told you are "too much." In this space, you never have to shrink, simplify, or translate your life.

Whether you are looking for a therapist for artists in Los Angeles, seeking somatic therapy for religious trauma, or needing a space that fully grasps your multi-hyphenate life, your magic and complexity are the starting point here.

Using body-centered practices, Hakomi, and Parts Work, we will work together to regulate your nervous system and rebuild your self-trust from the inside out. It is time to finally exhale.

I offer telehealth therapy for Californians statewide. Supporting clients from the Bay Area to San Diego, and locally rooted in the creative communities of East LA, Silver Lake, and Echo Park.

The Path Forward (Who I Work With)

You might be arriving here feeling lost, misunderstood, or exhausted from fragmenting yourself just to be legible to the world.

Many of my clients—whether they are navigating a late neurodivergent discovery, seeking an LGBTQIA+ affirming space, or looking for a cult recovery therapist in California—arrive carrying what feels like an insurmountable weight. You may be navigating imposter syndrome, high-functioning burnout, or the lingering residue of high-control environments that taught you not to trust your own inner knowing.

You might not know how to move forward, but you feel ready to start and make real change in your life.

My role is to help you slow down enough to hear the truth you already hold. Together, we will create the safety for your nervous system, the fear, the dysregulation, and the parts that learned to brace, to finally soften and unburden.

From there, you are the one who takes the small steps, and you are the one who feels them slowly compound into something undeniable.

Clients describe this process as visionary and deeply affirming. Through this work, you can finally make the life-changing decisions you haven't felt courageous enough to make, move through fears that once felt permanent, and walk away with a profound trust in your own life.

What to Expect When Working Together

How We Begin

We start with a free 15-minute call. No pressure, no pitch, just a real conversation about what you're navigating and whether this feels like the right fit for both of us.

If it feels right, I'll typically get you scheduled for your first session within a few days to a week.

Sessions happen weekly, virtually, anywhere in California, so this can fold into a touring schedule, a chaotic studio practice, or a nontraditional workweek without friction.

New to therapy altogether? That's welcome too; you don't need to know how to "do" this, we'll figure out the rhythm together as we go.

Coming from another therapist? That's common and welcome; tell me what worked, what didn't, and we build from where you actually are, not from zero.

Already working with a psychiatrist, psychic, astrologer, energy worker, hypnotist, or other healer? I integrate around what you have, not instead of it.

This blending of therapy with other kinds of support is something I care deeply about, in fact, it's exactly what I spoke about with Vogue (click on Vogue photo to read the full article); you can see more of my press features by clicking the image below.
